What type of search do you need?

Maryland District Court
The District Court has jurisdiction over Civil lawsuits under $25,000 and
Criminal charges that carry less than 3 years in prison.

County Circuit Court
Unlike the District Courts, which are one State court, each County has a
circuit court.  Each circuit court has jurisdiction over Civil lawsuits over
$25,000 and most felony criminal charges.  Typically, any search of the
District Court should include at least one circuit court search in order to
yield the most accurate information.

The Maryland Sex Offender's Registry
This database includes names, addresses, and normally photographs of
convicted sex offenders who have been ordered by the court to register
with the State.

The U.S. District Court for Maryland
The U.S. District Court has offices in both Greenbelt and Baltimore, but
unlike their state counterparts, the Federal court's computers share
information.  This way both locations can be checked with one visit.  This
court handles only Federal criminal charges and civil lawsuits that have a
basis for federal jurisdiction.  The Bankruptcy Courts for Baltimore and
Greenbelt also keep records on the same computer system.
